Tito and I woke up the morning on Monday to no power and freezing temperatures with snow and ice laying everywhere. I was busy with my real estate buyer clients putting offers on homes, sending contracts, middle of negotiations and settling their contracts all together. I was really unaware of the weather situation in Houston and Texas as a whole. Some of my neighbors had bursting pipes with flooded downstairs, however everyone had no power and very little resources. I had enough food to last at least five days and purified water on hand, and of course my Tito to keep me company.  I was able to get my clients under contract when I had intermittent power on during the midweek and kept my focus making sure my clients are the most successful during all situations.✅

I made the most of the no power week and read some books that I needed to catch up on anyways and had a really fun barbecue in the backyard. I had no issues with pipes, only power, however my will to serve others and check up on my friends and family was strong. I was able to deliver some food to a friend in town some of my barbecue that I had cooked. The cold weather gear I wore during the week where my usual cycling cold base layers under my pants and shirts. Wool was the best choice to wear as I felt very warm and comfortable.
